How to make it

  • Pre-heat oven to 375
  • Grease a 4qt rectangular baking dish
  • Cook and drain elbows and put in baking dish
  • In a large saucepan melt butter over low heat
  • Remove from heat and blend in flour, salt, and mustard
  • Return to heat and slowly add milk and stir constantly until sauce thickens
  • Add 3.5 cups of cheese and stir until cheese is melted
  • Pour sauce over noodles in baking dish
  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs and remaining 1/2 cup of cheese on top
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes
