Macadmia Nut Slice Recipe

Ingredients
  • 200 g roasted macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 150 g glacé pineapple, chopped
  • 150 g glacé apricots, chopped
  • 150 g glacé red & green cherries, chopped
  • 150 g raisins
  • 2 Tbsp brandy
  • 125 g butter
  • 1/2 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp mixed spice
  • 200 g cooking Chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 200 g Dark Melts

Directions
  1. Combine nuts, glace fruits, raisins and brandy, stand 15 minutes.
  2. Place butter, Sweetened Condensed Milk and egg in small bowl of electric mixer, beat until light and creamy. Fold in flour and mixed spice, add nut and fruit mixture and Cooking Chocolate, stir well.
  3. Spoon into 2 greased and lined bar tins. Bake at 180°c for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.
  4. Cool completely before icing with the Dark Melts, refrigerate until set. Cut into small squares to serve.
