Ingredients

1 head of cabbage, cored and shredded

1 carrot, grated

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Toss cabbage and carrot together in a serving bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and stir to mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to marinate the cabbage.
