Ingredients
  • 750 g lean minced meat (can be beef or lamb)
  • 250 g sausage meat
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt & 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup spicy pasta sauce or tomato sauce

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Spray a tray of 12 muffin tins with non stick baking spray.
  2. Wear plastic disposable gloves and use your hands to mix all the ingredients together. Divide the mixture into 12 portions and press into the prepared muffin tins.
  3. Bake for 35 – 40 minutes until nice and brown on top. Cool in the tins for 5 minutes then carefully lift out and serve with extra pasta or tomato sauce. These are great served in a bread roll or hamburger bun with salad and cheese slices.
  4. Note: To make 1 cup of fresh breadcrumbs, whiz up 2 slices of toast thickness fresh bread in a food processor. Bread crumbs can be frozen in small ziplock plastic bags and used from frozen. This a a good way of using up stale bread.
