Ingredients

8 -12 precooked beef sausages

1 cup mayonnaise

2 Tbsp prepared mustard

1 egg, lightly beaten

2 cups breadcrumbs

8 -12 metal skewers (or large bamboo skewers which have been previously soaked in water for an hour)

Directions

Spear each sausage at one end with a skewer. Combine the mayonnaise, mustard and egg and coat each sausage (or use a pastry brush), then dredge in the breadcrumbs. This is best done 5 -10 minutes prior to cooking. Barbecue the hot dogs on the solid plate over a gentle heat with a little butter or oil, until golden and hot through
