Tomato Soup Recipe
A classic tomato soup recipe invented on the spot on a cold autumn evening in Michigan.

Ingredients
  • 2 32 oz cans tomato puree
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream
  • rosemary to taste
  • thyme to taste
  • Gordon Food Service Italian Seasoning mix (sorry, no ingredients listed.. probably oregeno, basil, etc)
  • 2 pinches of sage

Directions
  1. Combine puree and herbs into heavy pot. Cook on low heat for first 40 minutes.
  2. Raise heat to medium, cook for 40 minutes.
  3. Turn heat to very low and stir in whipping cream. Sir constantly.
  4. Turn off heat after 10 minutes, stirring. Serve hot.

This looks great. Perhap a Penzey's Italian seasoning will substiture for the Gordon Food service seasoning. I might need to take a dose of Zantac with this.

Seeing as I can't change my recipes...

I forgot to add in a half stick of butter and a can of chicken broth. Add 'em in at the same time you add in the herbs.
