Baked Fish With Milk Recipe
This is a recipe I obtained from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Crawford Estate in Quinlan, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 2 pound trout
  • 1 egg well beaten
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions
  1. Open fish lengthwise to permit placing fish flat in baking dish but do not cut through skin.
  2. Spread cut side with egg and sprinkle with crumbs and salt.
  3. Place fish outside down in well greased 2 quart oven glass casserole.
  4. Pour milk over fish and dot with butter.
  5. Cover and bake 40 minutes at 400.
