Beef Brisket Recipe

Beef Brisket Recipe
This tangy brisket is easily prepared and the ginger snaps give it a great flavor. It is one of my family favorites!

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. beef brisket
  • 4 cups water
  • 2-1 oz. packs of dry onion soup mix
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 can or bottle- 12 oz. of chili sauce
  • 15 crushed gingersnap cookies
  • 15 cut red potatoes (small)
  • 1 lb. of baby carrots

Directions
  1. Preheat oven at 350.
  2. Put brisket into a 10x15" roasting pan. Place ginger snaps in the pan around the brisket. In another small bowl, mix onion soup mix with 2 cups of water. Mix well then pour on brisket. Next add chili sauce on top of the soup mix.
  3. Bake the brisket at 350 for approximately an hour. After baking for an hour, add the potatoes, onions, and carrots to the pan on the outside edges of the brisket.
  4. Continue baking for an additional hour, adding the remaining 2 cups of water as needed. Doing this will help to thin the sauce in the pan.
