How to make it

  • Preheat oven at 350.
  • Put brisket into a 10x15" roasting pan. Place ginger snaps in the pan around the brisket. In another small bowl, mix onion soup mix with 2 cups of water. Mix well then pour on brisket. Next add chili sauce on top of the soup mix.
  • Bake the brisket at 350 for approximately an hour. After baking for an hour, add the potatoes, onions, and carrots to the pan on the outside edges of the brisket.
  • Continue baking for an additional hour, adding the remaining 2 cups of water as needed. Doing this will help to thin the sauce in the pan.
