Veal Dijon Recipe
Quick, easy elegant dinner. Fancy enough for guests. Serve over buttered noodles

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. veal strips, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 lb . fresh mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp. shallots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp. imported Dijon mustard

Directions
  1. Saute veal strips in butter for about 1 1/2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Remove veal with slotted spoon and set aside.
  3. Saute mushrooms and shallots in same butter.
  4. Add wine and cook while stirring for about 3 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Add cream and cook 1 minute and then add Dijon and cook 1 minute longer.
  6. Add veal strips and stir until heated through.
  7. Serve immediately.
