Creole Baked Beans

This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Day Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1982.
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fresh snap beans shopping list
- 3 tablespoons bacon drippings shopping list
- 5 new potatoes soaked in water with a little soda then scraped shopping list
- 1 small white onion chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients in a small stew pan.
- Cover with a tight fitting lid and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat and cook 15 minutes longer.
