Bacon Onion Croutons Recipe
My children love croutons they eat them on salads and they eat them by themselves as a snack. They are easy to make and a great way to use up bread.

Ingredients
  • 6 slices French bread, crusts trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seed, toasted

Directions
  1. Cube bread; set aside.
  2. Heat remaining ingredients together in a 12" skillet over medium heat; stir in bread cubes until well coated. Remove from heat; spread mixture in a single layer on a rimmed ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 300 until golden and crisp, about 25-30 minutes. Cool.
  3. About 2 cups.
