CORDON BLUE HAMBURGERS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cullen Estate in Allen, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 pounds ground sirloin
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 slices ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Directions
  1. Break up meat in a mixing bowl with a fork then add onion, parsley, salt and pepper and mix well then shape into 8 thin patties.
  2. Top 4 of the patties with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese then cover with remaining 4 patties and press together to seal.
  3. Grill over medium heat for 8 minutes on each side.
