Luckhnavi Shami Kebab

- 1 kg mince meat shopping list
- 1/4 cup channa dal / gram dal shopping list
- 2 tbsp ginger shopping list
- 2 big potatoes shopping list
- salt shopping list
- 8 whole red chillies shopping list
- garam masala : shopping list
- 12 whole black pepper shopping list
- 2 black cardamoms shopping list
- 3 green cardamoms shopping list
- 2 tsp Jeera (cumin seeds) shopping list
- FOR FILLING : shopping list
- cilantro shopping list
- 1 big onion shopping list
- 5-6 green chillies shopping list
How to make it
- Put the mince meat, dal, ginger, potatoes ( whole without peeling ) and red chillies in a pot and add water to cover.
- Cook on high heat so that the water dries up and mince is cooked.
- Remove and cool. Peel the potatoes and mash while hot.
- Grind rest of the meat and dal mixture and incorporate the mashed potatoes in it. Mix well.
- Now roast the garam masala and grind .
- Mix this masala and salt to the keema potato mixture .
- Now cut cilantro (coriander leaves), green chillies and onion finely and fill in the kebabs.
- Shape in form of cutlets and shallow fry.
- Serve with salad and mint chutney.

Nice recipe, Imran. I make a similar shami kebab, but I also add roasted anise seed (sounf ) to it. Looking forward to seeing more of your recipes!
