This dish is great for the holiday season... cookies can be cut to match the shape of any season. The wedding icing definitly completes the whole idea.

Ingredients
  • Cookie:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • MIX then cut in:
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1tbs vanilla flavoring
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tbs milk
  • Icing:
  • 1 lb powder sugar
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • 2-3 tbs milk (add as needed)
  • 6-8 shakes salt

Directions
  1. Mix all cookie ingredients together as stated above.
  2. Roll out with rolling pin.
  3. Cut as desired.
  4. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes, or until edges are brown.
  5. To make icing, just simply mix all ingredients together, and add food coloring as desired.
  6. Spread icing over cooled cookies, and enjoy!!
