How to make it

  • 1. In a saucepan on medium, cook bacon or Kielbasa until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • 2. Stir in onion, pepper and celery and cook for 5 minutes until onion is tender.
  • 3. Stir in the blackeye peas, saz�n, hot sauce, salt and pepper, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve over rice.
