Happy Chili Recipe
I make chili different every time I make it and it always comes out good. but this little experiment came out delish. If you aren't a fan of spicy, this rec probably isn't for you.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground protein. ( I used turkey)
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 2 tbsp semi sweet dark chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 yellow onion chopped
  • 1 chopped jalepeno
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp cayene (if desired)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 can corn
  • 3 cans beans of choice ( I used 2 s&w santa fe recipe and one can of kidney beans)
  • 1 can of water

Directions
  1. Brown your meat or soy protein draining any excess fat if any
  2. reduce heat to medium and add bourbon
  3. cook of alcohol 1 minute
  4. add seasonings and chopped onion and pepper
  5. melt in chocolate
  6. add remaining ingredients and simmer until it's time to eat

This is a great base, it can be whatever you want it to be. Tofu, beans of choice, vegetables of choice etc. Just wondering how you came up with the chocolate...did you experiment with it? Did you try different chocolates?
