This is sub that seems to be more of a Midwest/North type food. Couldn't find this out West even though I found a sub place to make one for me! This is a toasted submarine sandwich with all your pizza fixings! Very yummy and it melts in your mouth... More

Ingredients
  • 2 sub buns / hoagie buns
  • 1 jar pizza sauce
  • Garlic Powder
  • Optional:
  • 1/4 - 1/2 lb. pork or italian sausage, thawed & browned.
  • Italian Seasoning
  • 1 pkg Pepperoni
  • Crumbled cooked bacon
  • Thin cooked slices of ham
  • Chopped Onion, chopped Green Peppers, sliced Banana Peppers, Black Olives, Mushrooms, etc.
  • Lots of Mozzerella Cheese

Directions
  1. Toast buns in oven or convection oven. Open and lay flat.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  3. Once toasted, spread on pizza sauce on both inside halves of buns.
  4. Sprinkle a small amount of garlic powder over the sauce on one side.
  5. Add desired meat. **If you use Pork Sausage, may want to cook in some Italian Seasoning.
  6. Add desired vegetables on other side.
  7. Put in oven until hot with goodies up! Keep open, do not fold together before baking.
  8. Pull out and add desired amount of cheese on each side.
  9. Throw back in oven and heat til cheese is melted.
  10. Pull out of oven and fold together. Enjoy tasting your own pizza that you can eat like a sandwich!
