Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup fiine soft bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped almonds
  • 6 large firm baking apples
  • 2 egg whites, lightly beaten
  • 6 tbsp orange marmalade
  • 3/4 cup apple juice

Directions
  1. In a small bowl, combine crumbs, sugar, and almonds. Brush apples all over with egg wites, then roll in brumb mixture to coat evenly.
  2. Arrange apples upright, sides not touching, in a 7 x 11 inch baking pan. Spoon 1 tbsp of the marmalade into the cavity of each apple.
  3. Pour juice around apples in the pan.
  4. bake, uncovered, 350 degrees for 1 hour.
