Ingredients
  • 4 cups skim milk
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 ounces bittersweet or semiisweet chocolate
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonods
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Directions
  1. in saucepan, combine milk and 3 cinnamono sticks. Warm over low heat; stir occassionally. Mmeanwhile, place chocolate, almonds and sugar in a blender. whirl until a coarse powder forms.
  2. Increase the heat under the milk and stir milk until it is just at the boiling point. Lift out cinnamon sticks, rinse, dry and set aside for the garnish.
  3. Pour 2 cups of the hot milk into the blender, cover (hold lid on) and whirl until blended. add remaining 2 cups of milk and whirl, covered, until blended.
  4. Place 1 cinnamon stick in each of 6 mugs. Fill mugs with hot foamy chocolate.
