How to make it

  • in saucepan, combine milk and 3 cinnamono sticks. Warm over low heat; stir occassionally. Mmeanwhile, place chocolate, almonds and sugar in a blender. whirl until a coarse powder forms.
  • Increase the heat under the milk and stir milk until it is just at the boiling point. Lift out cinnamon sticks, rinse, dry and set aside for the garnish.
  • Pour 2 cups of the hot milk into the blender, cover (hold lid on) and whirl until blended. add remaining 2 cups of milk and whirl, covered, until blended.
  • Place 1 cinnamon stick in each of 6 mugs. Fill mugs with hot foamy chocolate.
