Modified Beef Stew For Two Recipe
This is an easy, oven baked stew that I have modified from a recipe on the back of Lipton Dried onion soup. I made it for a "foodie" that loved it.

Ingredients
  • 1 Lb beef stew meat
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix (dry)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8oz), or 1 14oz can diced tomatoes.
  • 4 medium carrots sliced into 1 inch pieces
  • 3 ribs of celery
  • 1/4 cup sliced onion (optional)
  • 1/2 cup of water or red wine
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Cooked egg noodles

Directions
  1. Add meat and flour to one two qt. covered callerole dish. Stir
  2. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes, stir halfway.
  3. While that is cooking, add the rest of the ingredients to a bowl and mix well.
  4. When the meat is done add other mixed ingredients to casserole dish. Stir, reduce oven heat to 350.
  5. Bake for an hour and a half.
  6. Serve over noodles.
  7. Enjoy!
