How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Grease cookie sheets; set aside.
  • Combine flour, baking powder and salt in bowl; set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl beat butter on low for 30 seconds.
  • Add the PIONEER SUGAR and beat until fluffy.
  • Set mixer on low and add the egg, orange peel and vanilla; combine thoroughly.
  • Stir in juice.
  • Carefully add flour mixture.
  • Stir in ground nuts and dates.
  • Drop by rounded teaspoons 2-inches apart.
  • Place a whole nut on top of each cookie.
  • Bake 10-12 minutes or when edges begin to brown.
  • Remove to a cooling rack.

    These sound devine, Bsar -- and, I've missed seeing your recipe posts of late!! -- but, I don't know what "Pioneer Sugar" is ??? If you can help me out, I would love to try these :)
