Ingredients
  • 1 kg carrots,peeled and grated
  • 2 litre milk
  • 60 gm. rice powder
  • 1 cup dry milk powder
  • 250 gm. sugar(or to taste)
  • 8-10 green cardamom
  • 60 gm. almonds & pistachios
  • cream(optional)

Directions
  1. Pour the milk in a vessel and bring to boil.
  2. Once milk is boiled, add the rice powder ,milk powder and cardamoms; keep stirring constantly for 2 minutes.
  3. Then add the carrots and let it cook on medium heat .
  4. When the carrots are tender, add the sugar.
  5. Now, that the carrots are tender and the milk is reduced to half, turn off the heat.
  6. Garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios. Can be served hot or cold with cream.

Thanks ambus for a wonderful recipe
we have it on special occasions such as weddings, as a first course. we use condensed milk and cream in the mixture. yummy ! nice and rich and FATTENING :) salaams

Hi Ambus, great tatste The only thing is that for me it did not come together as a kheer, was kinda watery. Maybe I took it off the stove too early?
