Alas Chocolate Icing

- 250ml (1 cup) water shopping list
- 500g (1/2lb) butter - Frozen rock hard beforehand. shopping list
- 500g (1 1/2 cups) sugar shopping list
- 2 egg yolks shopping list
- 2 tbs cocoa shopping list
- 1 Drop Peppermint Essence shopping list
- cake (cool or near enough to not melt butter) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat water to boil in a small saucepan, add sugar and boil for 10 minutes (no longer).
- While this is boiling slice the butter into very thin slices and start the eggs beating.
- Add boiling sugar water to eggs in beater.
- Slowly add slices of butter to mixture over the course of 5 minutes.
- Add cocoa.
- Add peppermint essence.
- Slap it on your cake, this stuff hardens quick!
