Smoked Cheese Rolled In Chili Powder Pecan Log Recipe
An old favorite, but a little different....the addition of smoked cheese, formed into a log, then rolled in chili powder and chopped pecans. Great for parties, or just snacking with crackers.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup finely shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups finely shredded *smoked* cheese
  • 1 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1- 8 oz. package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 cloves minced garlic (if in a hurry, garlic powder)
  • Chili powder for coating the cheese logs
  • Pecans, chopped rather fine

Directions
  1. In large bowl, combine all ingredients except chili powder, pecans
  2. After combined thoroughly, with hands, form into logs*
  3. Sprinkle chili powder on wax paper
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans on wax paper
  5. Roll cheese log in chili powder
  6. Then roll in pecans
  7. Wrap in Saran Wrap,
  8. Place in refrigerator
  9. When ready to serve, place on board or tray
  10. Serve with crackers (Ritz crackers are especially good with this)
  11. *THE SIZE OF THE LOG IS YOUR CHOICE
