- Marinade: shopping list
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or rice wine shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon water shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch shopping list
- 3/4 pound lean beef thinly sliced shopping list
- Ingredients: shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce or thick soy sauce ( thick soy sauce come sweet) shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water shopping list
- 1 pound fresh broccoli shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves crushed shopping list
- 2 tbsp of sesame oil shopping list
How to make it
- Add the marinade ingredients, adding the cornstarch last (use your fingers to rub it in). Marinate the beef for 20 minutes or to an hour.
- Prepare the sauce, mix together the oyster sauce, light soy, dark soy, and water in a small bowl and set aside. In another small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water for thickener and set aside.
- Wash and drain the broccoli. Cut the stalk diagonally into thin slices. Cut the flowerets into 3 or 4 pieces. bring to boil...when done, drained and soak in ice cold water until ready to use for better crisp.
- Heat the wok and add 2 tablespoons oil. When the oil is hot, add the crushed garlic and stir fry briefly until aromatic. Add the beef. Stir in the beef for 1-2 mintues.
- Add the broccoli to the beef and all other ingredients except cornstarch, stir to coated.
- Add cornstarch mixture in the middle of the wok and stir quickly to thicken. Mix everything together and serve hot over steamed rice.
