Alis Lasagna

- 1 lb ground chuck shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1 7oz can tomatoes, cut up shopping list
- 1 8oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 6oz can tomato paste shopping list
- 2 tsp dried basil shopping list
- 1 tsp dried oregano shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 pkg lasagna noodles (you won't need the whole pkg but I always cook extra noodles in case some break) shopping list
- 1 beaten egg shopping list
- 2 cups ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1/2 cup parm cheese shopping list
- 1 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley (I like Italian parsley) shopping list
- 1 pkg sliced mozz cheese shopping list
How to make it
- cook meat, onion and garlic. drain excess grease
- stir in tomato ingredients, basil, oregano, salt and pepper
- bring to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer for about 15-20 minutes
- while sauce is simmering, cook noodles in large pot of water with salt.
- cook until al dente, drain
- for filling, combine the egg, ricotta cheese, 1/4 cup of the parm cheese and the parsley
- layer half the cooked noodles in a casserole dish
- spread with 1/2 the filling and 1/2 the meat sauce.
- top with 1/2 the mozz cheese slices and repeat layers
- sprinkle top with the remaining parm cheese
- bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes or until top is bubbly and golden brown
