How to make it

  • Place canned yams in medium baking dish or boil and roughly mash sweet potatoes in salted water ( peeling is optional) then place in baking dish
  • dot potatoes with butter. use more if desired
  • sprinkle with brown sugar and ginger
  • pour bourbon over potatoes mixing as possible
  • sprinkle with marshmellows, cinnamon and pecans
  • * be sure to drain yams or sweet potatoes before placing in pan
  • bake in moderate oven (350) for 30 or 45 minutes
