Ingredients
  • 2 lb fish filets, fresh or defrosted with excess water removed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbl soy sauce
  • 1 tbl Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 1/2 tbl fresh lemon juice
  • pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Cut filets to serving size.
  2. Whisk together remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Brush filets on both sides with sauce, sprinkle with pepper, and let sit for 10 minutes.
  4. Place filets on preheated oiled medium-hot grill. Depending on filet thickness, grill first side for 3-5 minutes, basting frequently, then turn filets, baste and grill second side for another 3-5 minutes, again basting frequently.
  5. Remove filets to a warm plate when fork pierces filets easily.
  6. Warm remaining sauce and serve with fish.
