A good dish to have on a cool fall or winter night...the best part about it? You can put it in the slow cooker and let it cook all day can and come home to a house that smells wonderful!!!

Ingredients
  • 3-4 lb bottom round (best choice) rump or arm roast
  • 2-3 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp kitchen bouquet or any gravy browning/seasoning sauce
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 2 medium onion cut in wedges
  • 6 potatoes cubed
  • 1/2 lb carrots (I like to use baby carrots)
  • 1 green pepper, sliced (optional)

Directions
  1. Sear roast in olive oil on all sides to sear in flavor of roast.
  2. Place roast in slow cooker-sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Make paste of flour and cold water-Stir in kitchen bouquet and spread over roast.
  4. Add garlic, onions, potatoes, carrots, and green pepper.
  5. Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-5 hours.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
  7. There will be enough juice for a gravy afterwards.
