How to make it

  • Wash the burghul and let it soak for 15 minutes
  • Wash and chop the peppers into small cubes.
  • Wash and chop the spring onions
  • In a bowl, mix the meat, burghul, peppers, onions, egg, 1 tablespoon olive oil, cumin, salt, garam masala well.
  • Put the meat in a baking tray and top with tomato paste and sprinkle with olive oil. Spread the tomato paste and oil on top of the meat and bake in the oven until the meat is cooked.
  • This recipe is easy and it tastes very good. Serve with salad.

    Yes, it is a twist. The first time I made it was a disaster, but I think that is because of the burghul I used (it was brown burghul). The second time I made it, it was a great success. Of course I tried again because I knew what it was supposed to taste like!!
    Moral of the story, if you fail once, try to see what went wrong and how to improve the recipe.
