My son loves meatballs...has to have them with his spaghetti! These are excellent meatballs and go well with pasta or by themselves as he would tell you!!

Ingredients
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs-lightly beaten
  • 2 green onions-minced
  • 1 sm. yellow onion, minced
  • 3 tbsp grated Pamesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp grated Romano cheese
  • 3 tbsp minced fresh parsley
  • 3 tbsp minced fresh basil
  • salt and pepper-to taste
  • 1 cup olive oil

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400.
  2. Combine all ingredients, except olive oil, in a bowl.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1 1/2" balls.
  4. Pour olive oil on shallow baking pan and place meatballs on top; swirl pan around to coat meatballs in oil.
  5. Bake meatballs for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown, but not cooked completely through. (unless eating by themselves)
  6. Remove meatballs from oil, drain on paper towels and stir into favorite pasta sauce.
