My Moms Macaroni and Cheese

- 3 tbsp. butter shopping list
- 1 clove garlic minced shopping list
- 1/4 flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 2 cups shredded shard cheddar cheese (more if desired) shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 box of cook penne, macaroni or whatever type of noodle you wantm cooked and drained shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Melt butter over low heat, stir in minced garlic, flour, salt and pepper
- Stir until smooth
- Remove from heat, gradually stirring in milk
- Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly! Let boil (while still stirring) for 1 minute
- Lower heat significantly, stir in cheese until melted - do not boil cheese!
- Combine cheese sauce and noodles in casserole pan
- Bake 30 minutes
- Add red hot pepper flakes for some kick
