My Moms Macaroni And Cheese Recipe
I never ate kraft mac and cheese growing up, eating mac and cheese should be the homemade version always. Here's my mom's excellent recipe - perfect for a cold, rainy day. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups shredded shard Cheddar cheese (more if desired)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 box of cook penne, macaroni or whatever type of noodle you wantm cooked and drained

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Melt butter over low heat, stir in minced garlic, flour, salt and pepper
  3. Stir until smooth
  4. Remove from heat, gradually stirring in milk
  5. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly! Let boil (while still stirring) for 1 minute
  6. Lower heat significantly, stir in cheese until melted - do not boil cheese!
  7. Combine cheese sauce and noodles in casserole pan
  8. Bake 30 minutes
  9. Add red hot pepper flakes for some kick
