Slow-Cooked Elk Pepper Steak Recipe

- 2 lbs elk round steak shopping list
- 1/4 cup soy sauce shopping list
- 1 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic shopping list
- 1 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger shopping list
- 1 can stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 2 large green pepper cut into strips shopping list
- 1/2 cup cold water shopping list
- 11/2 tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- cooked noodles or rice shopping list
How to make it
- Cut elk round steak into strips. Mix next nine ingredients in slow cooker. Add elk meat. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hr.. Combine the cold water and cornstarch add to crockpot, cook until thickened, about 15 more minutes. Serve over noodles or rice.

The main thing...my husband loved it. I changed soy to worcestershire sauce. Omitted stewed tomatoes and added fresh mushrooms at the end. Totally awesome! Will definitely be cooking this again
