Minestrone Soup

- 2 15-once cans chicken broth shopping list
- 1 15-once can chopped tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 1 medium onion,chopped shopping list
- 1 cup shredded cabbage shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups tomato juice shopping list
- 1 medium carrot, chopped shopping list
- 1 medium celery stalk,chopped shopping list
- 1 teaspoon dried basil shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups water shopping list
- 1 15-once can white beans, rinsed and drained shopping list
- 1 9-ounce package frozen italian green beans, thawed shopping list
- 2 ounces thin spaghetti, broken in half shopping list
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, indrained tomatoes,onion, cabbage, tomato juice, carrot, celery, basil, garlic powder, and water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover, and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir in the white beans, green beans, and spaghetti. Bring to a boil again; reduce heat. Cover, and simmer for about 10 more minutes. Ladle into soup bowls, and serve hot. Top soup with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
