Traditional Spaghetti Sauce

- 1 lb. mild Italian sausage, casings removed or ground beef shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained shopping list
- 1 cup chicken broth or water shopping list
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parley (optional) shopping list
- Hot cooked pasta shopping list
How to make it
- Cook sausage or ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until no longer pink, stirring to break up meat
- Add onion and garlic; cook 2 to 3 minutes; drain
- Stir in diced tomatoes and juice, broth, tomato paste and parsley
- Bring to boil
- Reduce heat
- Simmer 10 to 15 minutes
- Serve over pasta
