Ingredients
  • 1 lb. mild italian sausage, casings removed or ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parley (optional)
  • Hot cooked pasta

Directions
  1. Cook sausage or ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until no longer pink, stirring to break up meat
  2. Add onion and garlic; cook 2 to 3 minutes; drain
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes and juice, broth, tomato paste and parsley
  4. Bring to boil
  5. Reduce heat
  6. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes
  7. Serve over pasta
