How to make it

  • Prepare cake mix as directed on package, baking in well-greased and floured 13x9-inch pan. Cool cake in pan 15 minutes; then prick with utility fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
  • Meanwhile, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add cold water and carefully pour over warm cake. Chill 3-4 hours.
  • Top with whipped topping. Cut into squares and garnish with strawberries, if desired.
