Macaroni and Cheese Cassarole

- 4 cups (16 oz.) elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine shopping list
- 1/2 cup flour shopping list
- salt and ground black pepper to taste shopping list
- 5 cups milk shopping list
- 4 cups (16 oz.) shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oven to 350F
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt butter
- Blend in flour, salt and pepper
- Gradually stir in milk
- Cook, stirring constantly until sauce thickens and mixture begins to boil
- Add cheese; stir until cheese is melted
- In a 3 quart casserole dish, stir together pasta and cheese sauce
- Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly
