BLT Steak Salad Recipe
The light blue cheese dressing on this combo will make this salad a favorite as a side or a main dish.

Ingredients
  • 4 precooked slices of bacon---I use turkey bacon
  • 2 (4oz.) beef tenderloin steaks, trimmed or any favorite thin cut of steak (1 1/4 in. thick)
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper-(-I usually use a mixture grill seasoning for beef)
  • Coooking Spray
  • 6 c. torn romaine lettuce
  • 1 c. grape tomatoes,halved
  • sliced onion --your favorite pick
  • 1/2 c. light blue cheese dressing

Directions
  1. Cook bacon , crumble and set aside.
  2. Sprinkle steaks evenly with salt and pepper or seasoning of your choice; coat both sides with cooking spray or olive oil.
  3. Heat a medium non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add steaks; cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until diesired degree of soneness.
  4. Remove steaks from pan; let stand 5 minutes.
  5. Cut eash steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
  6. Combine lettuce, tomato, onion, and sliced steak in a large bowl; toss well.
  7. Divide salad among plates; drizzle dressing evenly over salads. Sprinkle with bacon.
