Banana Mousse Cake

- Sponge cake shopping list
- 125g caster sugar shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 1/2tablespoon cake emulsifier shopping list
- 100 superfine flour shopping list
- 1teaspoon vanilla essence shopping list
- 45ml water shopping list
- 65g corn oil or melted butter shopping list
- banana Mousse shopping list
- (A) shopping list
- 4000g mashed potato shopping list
- 1/2g lemon(squeezed the juice out) shopping list
- 1/8banana essence shopping list
- (B) shopping list
- 11/2 tablespoon gelatin powder shopping list
- 25ml water shopping list
- (C) shopping list
- 200g non daily whipping cream shopping list
- 21/2tablespoon icing sugar shopping list
- For garnish shopping list
- 150g non daily whipping cream shopping list
- 1 banana thinly slice shopping list
How to make it
- To make sponge cake
- Beat all ingredients (corn oil not included)until fluffy and and in oil and mix well.
- Pour batter into a lined an greased 20 square tin and bake for 108 Celsius for 35 to 45 minutes until cooked, remove and cool on a rack.
- Banana Mouse
- Double boil all ingredient (B) until desolved Beat (C) till stiff,
- (A) and (B) mix well.
- slice sponge cake into to 2 pieces in side way and place one piece in the 20cm loose base square tin. Pour banana mousse on the top and cover with another piece of the sponge cake and chill for 2 to 3 hours
- Whisk non daily whipping cream until stiff, spread on the mousse cake and placed the thinly sliced banana one over lapping the other on top
- Be sure to cut the banana last so the it wont oxidize.
