Quick Shake Savoury Tart Recipe
I often make this as a no fuss meal, served with French green beans, boiled potatoes smothered with garlic butter or a green salad.

Ingredients
  • 410g tin asparagus salad cuts
  • or
  • 1 onion, chopped or fried
  • 250g bacon, ham or viennas, chopped and fried
  • 150g mushrooms
  • or
  • 250g tin pineapple pieces
  • 250g tin tuna
  • or
  • 175g spinach cooked and chopped
  • 25ml grated onion
  • and
  • 250ml grated cheddar cheese
  • Egg custard
  • 150ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 30ml flour
  • 5ml mustard
  • 3ml salt
  • 2ml pepper
  • 2ml Aromat (savoury tasting salt) not necessary

Directions
  1. 1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Grease a small pie dish, if using a large flan dish, double up the recipe.
  2. 2. Place ingredients for filling into pie dish, sprinkle cheddar cheese over ingredients.
  3. 3. Place all custard ingredients into “Quick-Shake” (or into blender), in the order in which they are written. Shake or blend well.
  4. 4. Pour over filling and bake for +- 35 mins or until set
  5. Serves 6
