This is an old family recipe. Simple, but good. Note the temperature change when baking and should be mixed by hand instead of the mixer.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 6 Tbsp butter
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3 Tbsp cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Pie crust

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. .Cream sugar and butter.
  3. Add egg yolks, beaten ot a lemon color.
  4. Stir in the cream and vanilla.
  5. Pour into and unbaked 9 inch pie shell and bake at 350 for 10 minutes, then at 275 for about 45 minutes.
