GOOD OLD FASHIONED BLACKBERRY PIE This is a recipe I obtained from an Estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the White Estate in Frisco, Texas in 1984.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 quarts blackberries
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Directions
  1. Mix sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon then sprinkle over berries in large shallow casserole.
  2. Dot with butter then place pricked pie crust over top.
  3. Cook 10 minutes at 450 then 25 minutes at 350.
  4. Gently spread 2 teaspoons honey mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon on crust while hot.
