ZESTY LIME STRAWBERRY WHIP This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wilmot Estate in Rowlett, Texas in 1996.

Ingredients
  • 1 package lime gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup cream whipped
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 cup sweetened fresh strawberries

Directions
  1. Dissolve gelatin in hot water.
  2. Add lemon juice and chill until slightly thickened.
  3. Place in bowl of ice and water and whip until fluffy and thick.
  4. Add sugar to whipped cream and fold into gelatin mixture.
  5. Pile lightly in sherbet glasses then chill until firm.
  6. Cover with strawberries and serve.
