Venison Stew

- 2 tbsp. cooking oil or fat shopping list
- 1 lb. venison stew meat shopping list
- 1 lg. onion, chopped shopping list
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed shopping list
- 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1 tsp. dried oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp. salt shopping list
- ¼ tsp. pepper shopping list
- 3 cups water shopping list
- 2 potatoes, cubed shopping list
- 4 lg. carrots, sliced in coins shopping list
- ¼ cup whole grain flour shopping list
- ¼ cup cold water shopping list
How to make it
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven. Brown meat. Add onions, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, oregano, salt, pepper and water. Simmer, covered, 1½ to 2 hours or until meat in tender. Add potatoes and carrots. Continue to cook until vegetables are tender, about 30-45 minutes. Mix flour and cold water; stir into stew. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Remove bay leaf.
