Chunky Tomato Sauce

- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1 med. onion shopping list
- 4-5 garlic cloves shopping list
- 1/2 green pepper shopping list
- 1/2 red pepper (or more or more depending on preference) shopping list
- 1 can whole peeled tomoatoes diced shopping list
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped shopping list
- 2 tbsp oregano (dried or fresh) shopping list
- chili flakes or chopped chili pepper ( to taste) shopping list
- sugar or honey to taste (I usually put 1- 2 tbsp) shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- salt pepper shopping list
How to make it
- - Brown onions and Garlic in oil (use pot or deep pan)
- - Add diced red and green peppers, fry until soft
- - Add diced tomoatoes and all the liquid from the can
- - Add herb and spices
- - Simmer for 1/2 hour
- - Taste to check for acidity
- - if sauce is too acidic add honey or sugar until satisfactory
- - Let simmer for another 1/2 hour at least (the more it simmers the better it tastes!
