- 3 pound beef roast-free from fat as possible shopping list
- 2 whole onions-peeled,about 2 in. in diameter shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 3 Bay or laurel leaves shopping list
- 1 clove fresh garlic shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Place the roast in a good sized pot and cover with water
- Add the above ingredients
- Boil for three hours over a medium heat replacing the water that boils off
- Remove the meat,leave to drain
- Slice it as thinly as possible
- Note: The meat will have a delicate pink color on the inside and be brown on the outside.It has a rich,herb flavor and makes the finest eating.
- Venison,antelope,moose,caribou,bear,mutton are all wonderful using this recipe.
