Liver Pate

- 1 lb liver (veal or pork) shopping list
- 2 onions, large thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 c chicken stock shopping list
- 1/3 c butter (not margarine) shopping list
- 1 t salt shopping list
- 1/4 t black pepper shopping list
- 2 bread slices without crust shopping list
How to make it
- Slice liver into thin strips and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove liver form heat.
- Melt the butter in a pan.
- Add the onions and fry until they are golden.
- Add the liver and continue frying for 1 - 2 minunes constantly stirring.
- Remove mixture form heat.
- Put all of the remaining ingredients (egg, chicken stock, salt, black pepper and bread slices without crust) with the onions and liver in a food processor.
- Chop in processor until a smooth mixture is achieved.
- Next steps are not mandatory:
- Grease a 9″ baking dish and spoon the mixture into it.
- Bake for 45 minutes in a pre-hetaed 450 degree F oven.
- Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.
