How to make it

  • saute the onion celery, garlic and carrots in the pan you cooked the sausage in. Deglaze the pan with a little water or stock to get all the flavor off the bottom of the pan.
  • Throw sausage, veggies, bean mix (after rinsing and sorting) and the amount of water or stock the mix calls for, all into a crockpot.
  • Turn the crock pot on medium if yours has it. If not put it on high. Cook it all day adding more water and stock to adjust the thickness of the soup.
  • I season mine with just a little cracked black pepper. The sausage gives a pretty good flavor to the soup by itself.
