How to make it

  • Roll pastry on floured surface into circle 1 inch larger than 9" pie plate. Ease pastry into plate, trim and flute edge. Set aside. If you bought a already prepared unbaked pie crust, skip this section.
  • Pie Filling: Combine splenda, cornstarch, lemon juice, cinnamon, salt, & nutmeg; sprinkle over apples in large bowl. Toss to coat well. Spoon apples into pie crust.
  • Streusel Topping: Combine flour, splenda, cinnamon, & salt. Stir in melted butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts (opt.). Sprinkle over apples. Bake in preheated 375 oven 45-55 mins or until apples are tender & crust is golden. Cool on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temp. If desire, top with sugar free vanilla ice cream.
