Old family recipe, very tasty, creamy, comforting, simple (like all of my recipes). My grandma is Hungarian and makes the best food EVER!! The Scrummy smell from this dish often brings the neighbours over!

Ingredients
  • 8 potatoes
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 - 5 inches of Hungarian Czabi salami
  • milk or single cream - 3/4 litre

Directions
  1. boil potatoes
  2. boil eggs
  3. slice salami very thinly
  4. slice boiled potatoes length ways
  5. slice boiled eggs length ways
  6. layer all 3 in a baking dish - the depth is up to you. I like to make it quite flat but wide and long because I like the crispiness on top.
  7. pour on your milk or cream so it goes half way up the length of your potatoes.
  8. Whack it in the oven - gas mark 5
  9. when golden brown on top it is done! 45 minutes is an estimated time. set it to one side for 5 minutes and then enjoy!
